A former UTU Local 620 secretary-treasurer has been convicted of embezzling more than $48,000 from his Chicago local and for making false entries on union checks, reports the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
Keith H. Cook was convicted in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Also, a former secretary-treasurer of BLET Division 1 in Petersburg, Mich., Charles Bohanon, has been charged in federal court with one count of embezzling more than $18,000 in union funds, reports DOLs Office of Labor-Management Standards.
