I've made this pie a few times. Its called "The Ultimate Caramel Apple Pie". It's a recipe from Tyler Florence of Food Network fame. My nephew connected with it a few years ago and always requests one during the holidays. So being a kind soul, I have one cooling on the kitchen counter for tomorrow's dinner. It takes a bit of work to make one as you make your own homemade caramel. The caramel recipe calls for sugar, water, red wine, heavy cream, and the fresh scrapings of a whole vanilla bean. This caramel is killer. Took me a good couple hours to get this pie in the oven. Something has happened to me this year as everything seems to take a bit longer to do. Think I'm slowing down. I'm an old fuck and it's starting to show. None the less this pie is sure to please. I also signed up to bring one of my signature carrot dishes to the feast. I call it "Chile Carrots". Saute some minced onion, garlic, celery in butter and add about a quarter cup of chile sauce and add your steamed carrot coins and stir and cook for a few minutes. Gawd this tastes good. I sort of have to be careful not to rock the traditional Turkey Day menu as my late wifes family do not venture outside the box. The best thing is I only have to walk across the street for dinner.

That's cool Astrobuck. Hopefully you'll give me enough notice so's I get a chance to get to the store first. Haven't had many opportunities to showoff my talents in the kitchen since Mrs Krink passed. I'm helplessly locked into teriyaki takeout these days.
