Our leader and spiritual advisor has been noticed launching weenies at the soverign state of SD.   Said leader / biker has chosen to ignore the many fine aspects of this state--especially in the western part.

We made our first visit here three years ago and enjoyed it so much that a second trip was needed.  First the biker thing:  Consider the August meet in Sturgess; even my wife enjoyed seeing thousands and thousands of handsome guys / bikes.  On  this subject, the nearby Spearfish Canyon Road is a bikers dream come true.   Nice waterfall on the east of the  drive.

Then there is Custer St Park, with lotsa buffs and donkeys that tried to get in the car with the wife.  Keystone and Rushmore--ya have to see to believe.  Deadwood, where poor folks like us can play black jack for a buck or two per bet.

I close with Wall and the Badlands--Kindof a miniature grand Canyon; still want to spend several days there.  Maybe next year.

Granted our visit was in the summer, and we didn't have to deal with snow mobiles and their special needs.  Maybe a polite retraction will spare Uke from that fate worse than death.  Yep, I am thinking BAND.

And Newcastle Wyoming is a true tourist mecca. I reccomend the Starlight Hotel, a more restful nights sleep can't be found this side of a coma.

Troll--------thanks.  I knew you were a better guy than what Uke said.

Uke is in full retreat.  He realizes he has met his match in the SD story and has made no comment so far.  He shows some wisdom.

Map study of UP and BNSF sheds some light on our uh, misunderstanding.
Seems that BN operates in the upper right half of SD.  UP doesn't even show up as contacting the state.  Easy to see how rails are not familiar with the good stuff around the Black Hills region.

Surely it would be a simple matter to build some tracks into this garden spot.  Whisper a word into the ears of your top mgt.
