North/West Africa. One of the greats to come out of the Sahel region!

Thanks for the African music Uke. So I've been discovering new artists in the electronic
music today thanks to Comcast ch 941. I was just thinking I haven't turned on my stereo
for over a week which means no KNKX or jazz. I can get hooked on a steady flow of the newest
electronica. If I was still collecting records/CD's I might want to add some "Air" to my collection.
They got about 4-5 tunes out there that attract me. The latest one I like may take a few listenings
before its "in your head". And once its in your head... Next is a tune I heard for the first time
just tonight but its an oldie in electronic music years by Alex Gopher and "Ralph and Kathy".

So a song/tune/track by "Faithless" was heard by me on this date. I sort of got
caught on the last 2mins of this track "Giving myself away". This is unusual rap
music but I have liked some over the years. Then to add another Faithless tune that
first got heard in a movie soundtrack that is really worth hearing called "Addictive".
I know something about addictive....music.

Beautiful Lou Reed number covered by the Black Crowes, off their Cabin Fever-DVD, "Oh Sweet Nuthin'"

Some sweet, sweet blues. Part of the movie sound track

So I've liked just about everything Massive Attack has recorded in the last 20yrs
and hear this tune for the first time. I had to get up from my seat to check the TV
and see who was doing this music. Moody music...I have a lot of it in my collection.
Never sure what category to put it in just know it effects me. Then to make it a "double"
I heard this tune by "Blackanized 360" Vibe 'Brations and you got yourself a Krink
"Twin-pak" of music you never considered before.

Sometimes you hit it lucky listening to radio or TV with a couple new entries to
the mass amount of music you heard already. Don't know anything about "Moodyman"
or "The 13th Sign" but that's not important. Acid Jazz is just as cool as real jazz.

Couple of things that hooked me on our favorite (music) radio station

to stream interwebwise from civilization over to the wild country here.

I tell you hearing new music is getting harder these days. Maybe because I'm not trying
that hard but sometimes it happens anyway. Blues show on KNKX over the weekend plays
this song by Ian Siegal and Greg Szlapezynski called "Now I'm the Blues". Found a live
recording of the song which I think you'll like.

right after getting a call that a close one was near the end.

Got a message last night another one will be gone today probably.

During the recent MIR I remembered a Canadian artist named Chris Houston and
wanted to see what might be on YouTube. I first heard the guy on Brave New Waves
in the late 80's. I found his first LP "Hate Filled Man" in a Bellingham record store
and one of the strangest LP jackets ever as it includes 12" square of astroturf on the
back cover. So I like Chris Houston for a lot of reasons. You might too.

You beat me to it TW5K as I kept seeing nobody adding any new music in long time
and I had a few tunes saved up and its late and I'm wasted so I'm going with this one
and promise more. My listening habits today are from Xfinity "Music Choice" channels
941 and 945. The best electronic music and the best jazz music. In the 2018 that's what
its become. Radio is too annoying to listen to anymore for "music".

That's the thing today is music is happening in almost an "underground way" where
the only way to keep track is an I-phone or equivalent or streaming or some hi-tek
medium that leaves many older fucks...out. I think it may be for "our protection". But
I will listen for the latest craze til I die. Heard this by the "Robert Kennedy Trio" tonight
and its a hit with me because somebody plays the organ really well.
