Man arrested after threatening NS workers
SAYRE, W. Va. - Michael Lowther Jr., 56, of Glenville, W. Va., has been charged with theft, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident occurring around 3 p.m. on Feb. 2 in Sayre Borough, according to the Sayre Borough Police Department and the Daily Review.

Lowther is accused of threatening an employee of the Norfolk Southern Railroad and refusing to move out of the way of a train, police said. Lowther allegedly told the employee that he had a gun, and placed his hand inside the pocket of his jacket, police said.

Police searched Lowther for weapons and found a large metal padlock with chain, known as a switch lock, belonging to Norfolk Southern and valued at $40, police said.

A preliminary hearing has been set for Lowther on Feb. 10 at Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaws office in Sayre.
