Bake your own bread

The store bought bread in this nation is a fucking nightmare.
I made a loaf in my breadmachine today that had a cup of water,
1 tsp of kosher salt, 2 tblsp of honey, 2 tblsp of oil (Safflower),
3 cups of flour (unbleached) and 2 tsp of yeast. "6" ingredients.
I only use the breadmachine to mix the dough. When the dough
is done I kneed it again and place in a breadpan and put into the
oven preheated to 200 degrees (an then turn off the heat). This
gives the bread dough a nice warm environment to rise for the
next 40 minutes. After the 40 minutes are up turn on the oven
to 375 degrees and bake for 25 minutes. It will be the best bread
you ever tasted. Judging by the ingredients listed on the bread
bags of today, you may have forgotten what bread is suppose
to taste like.

I've never made bread. I tried once making pizza dough, that didn't turn out so well.

Although I do see myself making banana nut bread.

FMB found a thread/topic from 2009 I wrote/posted. Its still what I do today. Settled on "Elegant Oatmeal" bread
to make every time which is twice a month. A cup of rolled organic oats in this best of white breads. The best toast
ever. Also need to have bread on hand to make "fresh breadcrums" for my turkey burgers. A critical shortage of
bread yeast back in March 2020 as yeast got bought out along with toilet paper as back then you dint know the stores
were going to stay open but they did. I ended up buying bread yeast in a LB quanity on Amazon. That's 4 4oz jars
which is a little more than I need for a year or 2. Stays good stored in the fridge for long time. The bread machine
was sposed to do it all...just pour the ingredients in and select the mode and 3hrs you got yourself a loaf of bread...
with the "flipper" baked into it. Who wants the slice of bread with flipper removed from it. I don't. Real easy to put
this bread dough in a bread pan and bake in oven and have a very pleasing looking loaf in the end. There are many
pizza dough recipes for the bread machine and they are worth delaying your pizza making efforts until this dough is
ready. The thing is when I make pizza I got to eat 2 whole pizzas over a 3 day period which is too many calories.
Banana Nut bread sounds boring/dull. Its Chocolate Chip Banana Bread that is a "dessert force". I can teach you.
