Now that we're nearing 2010, the radio station that you
grew up with as a kid may be still be there or it may be gone
or it changed formats. Traditionally we all hear new songs
for the first time on the radio. For a time MTV was introducing
new music to the masses. The internet has a 1000 ways to
tap into new music. For some, there is no interest in new music.
My 21 year old nephew (judging by the times he gets out his
ghetto blaster doing work around the house) is a "classic rock"
fan. Rock had one category at one time now it broken up or
classified into more than a dozen. How do you decide when anything
in the future of music won't be of any interest and therefore
you lock yourself into a specific genre? There are many indications
by the variety of radio stations that they've figured that out already.
I've been a seeker/adventurer in music all my life. Will what is
recorded in these times be greater than Led Zep "Dazed and Confused"
guess time will tell. I didn't start this thread to criticize. Say what
want and feel and love. There are no wrong answers. I'm just
hoping to find radio is still important to people.

Snippy is a full Radiohead. iTunes radio is a mile wide and a mile deep. The better 192/128 kbps streams are very high quality if you have a quality system.

Lately, he's had this stream going quite a bit.

The bad thing about internets radio is that you can't get them to synch. Each source has a different latency. You can't pull the trick of having radios throughout the house tuned to the same station. Snippy streams his to an amplifier hook up to a pair of 1974 Klipsch Cornwalls.

I still think there is another remix of this song out
there, the one I heard nearly 20 years ago that I could
never find in any record store new or used. Noticed
the song has many lengthy remixes available but not
the one I'm searching for. The mention of Donna Summer
to me means one song..."I feel Love".
