Sadly, this is true. Mercury everywhere now. Welcome to the 21st century.

Good on ya have at 'er Uncle Uke. Neither will I be givin up eatin fish anytime soon , Had Basa for din din, nor passing up any chances to reel 'em in and cook'em some eyes off some otherwise. Just sayin, mercury levels higher in certain species, so it's a no brainer . Don't really wanna maximize the mercury intake do ya.  Got enough brain damage here from locomotive vibration, radio waves in the cab and other previous uhh 'recreational practices'.

This is for sure a "not good eats" topic...the sodium overload
in all the canned foods on your shelves. Here is a good example:
When I home-can green beans I add 1/8th tsp of kosher salt
to every pint jar. The seasoning ratio per jar has worked out to
perfection. The green beans taste good without having to drink
a lot of water afterwards. Just for kicks I bought a can of mixed
vegatables thinking I might throw them into a soup. Well it
wasnt soup night when I open this can of salty goodness and
had it as a side dish to turkey burgers. The fucking sodium
overload hits me quickly after a few bites of the canned veggies.
It's gotta be 4-5X the amount necessary. The biggest tragedy
in the "sodium overloaded" canned foods is the soup industry.
You cant find canned soup that isnt off the charts in sodium
levels. Store bought canned soup is one of the biggest (still)
users of MSG. Any "Cream of" soup is loaded with MSG which
is interesting in how many "quick and easy" recipes require
a can of cream of mushroom/chicken soup. The canned
clam chowders...no good. Another thing that needs to be
mentioned is "soy sauce". Regular soy sauce is 900mg sodium
per "TBSP"...which isnt much soy sauce when pouring it on
your rice dish. Really easy to do Soy overload without readily
noticing it. Its been my observation for awhile now that
"they" will try to kill us all off with sodium if they can.

What I want is some genetically engineered chickens... With five, or six pair of wingses!

Uke..all the "GE" chickens will still keep their identified
shape so the usual cut-up fryer will still contain 2 of every
part. If you are used to the "not knowing what you
are eating club" then you will see little difference.

Except the label that is... And even then, what kind of information will be revealed? "This poultry item has been genetically modified, and has been fed a strict diet of certified organic grains, chemically purified water, and raised in bacteria-free cages."

That's really helpful. Just gimme a free-range, Washington state chicken... Lemme cook it my way, and I won't complain!
