I gave up the "soft drinks" almost 20 years ago now.
Nightmare in a can is what a soda pop is these days.
Aspartame (nutri-sweet), food coloring (made from coal
tar), overload of sugar (high fructose corn syrup),
artificial flavors, carmel coloring ( made from ammonia),
sodium benzoate (used in gun powder), phosphoric acid.
C'mon...are these beverages worth it?

In UK, sodas with artificial colors to carry hyperactivity warning

I've been home canning my garden harvests for the last
16 years or more. Organic vegetables, fluoride/chlorine
free water, kosher salt, organic sugar, all the ingredients
to provide a tastey healthful preserve. Now this...the fucking
canning lids (Ball/Kerr) are loaded with BPA. I now have to
seek out canning lids without BPA. This is a sick fucking world.

Even glass jars can contain BPA chemical due to lid lining

I've sort of run into the same thing, what the fast food
giants advertise on TV versus what you get when you
unravel the wrapper. Usually a squashed version of that
glorious depiction you saw on the tube. I vowed earlier
in 2010 to never visit these places again unless I have
the shits or have to pee really bad.
