Another evil substance the FDA seems OK with is aspartame.

If you need to be "enlightened" on the modern day food
supply, I highly suggest this video. It's an hour long which
might be longer than you have time to watch. Spread it
out over a couple days if you have to. I found watching it
I wanted to see the whole hour. Might want to purchase
Robyn O'brien's book "The Unheathy Truth".

The Unhealthy Truth: One Mothers Shocking Investigation into the Dangers of Americas Food Supply

Prescription drugs aren't really food but a lot of people "eat" them.

I know when "wild" salmon is in the markets. The farm raised
salmon and steelhed have been around for about 10 years
now. I think I bought some in early days. They have to apply dyes
to it so it looks like salmon. Just stayed away from it for quite
a while now. Farm raised salmon have to be fed and I've read
accounts that this feed isn't "kosher" (kosher is just an expression
for lacking any scrutiny). Now enter GMO salmon into our diet
mainstream.

Krink, they're only altering a gene or chromosone or something or two.

Maybe they can eliminate eyes and grow them pre-fileted.

Farm raised have no need for eyes. Maybe the new GMO version
will have addressed that issue.

You better hope food safety bill S.510 doesn't pass. If it doesn't
pass first time around , it will pass the second time around.
This is our future.

This video could go in either good eats or not good eats.
I have the utmost respect for Jeff Rense and Gerald Celente.

This is a "good eats" story that turned out bad. "The highway
to Hell is paved with good intentions". The garden police is the
next thing in our future.

In the cross-fire of information on high fructose corn syrup,
there seems to be more nays than yays. Some say that the
human body can't detect the difference of any "natural"
sweetener. Aspertame is not a natural sweetener.
Sweeteners are all going to be GMO products if not
right now or in the near future as sugar beets and corn
are mostly GMO these days. Sugar cane might still be
unaffected but no way to tell if what you purchase from
the megamart is sugar beets or sugar cane in that bag.
I've really lost interest in "sweets". I put a cup of "organic"
sugar into my banana bread recipe. Other than that, I'm
able to stand at distance and watch how the "sweetener"
wars play out.

Asparagus is good eats but it seems the process of
making it so for British consumption has put Peru in
a bad place. Interesting...my asparagus does it's thing
year after year with zero attention. Noticed Peruvian
asparagus on store shelves at my local mega mart
usually Dec-Feb. Usually pricey tu...about $6 a bundle.
