On a Monopoly game board, the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad -- Americas first railroad -- will cost you $200.
Buying the B&Os current parent, CSX Transportation, will set you back about $54 per share.
But now there is a poor soul's avenue to owning B&O hot sauce marketed by The Innovative Co., which provides private-label brands to retailers, under a licensing arrangement with the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore.
The new B&O hot sauce comes in four blends, aptly taking on railroad-themed names:
* Ghost Train, made with the worlds hottest pepper (Ghut Jolokia) and featuring a steam-powered locomotive on the label.
* Firebox, made with a blend of cayenne and chipotle peppers and sporting on its label the image of a vintage steam locomotive.
* Thunder Fire, containing an all-natural habanero, lime juice and garlic sauce, contained in a bottle with an art deco locomotive on the label.
* Iron Thunder, blended with habanero peppers, lime juice, cilantro and onions, has a label displaying a smoke-belching locomotive.
The sauces sell for between $5.99 and $7.99 per bottle.
