Does Snippy use high quality audio since he already has an ongoing accompaniment courtesy of his ear condition?

Cy's grandson has a little robot figure that rolls around on the floor and does various things. When it's stationary, it has a high-pitched whine. Cy and Mrs. Cy cannot hear this whine but our daughter and SIL assures us that it is there and, to make us feel better, they tell us that SIL's mother cannot hear this whine, either.
