Ain't seen a 'high-cube' in one hell of a long time! I still live above Balmer, where damn near everything is blocked for movement...
The 86' might've been sliced down ta the frame, and reconstructed to accommodate flat loads, like double pups...short UPS trailers.
The Scott Paper boxes were built ta carry light loads. Shit-paper, tissues, and paper towels...were stuffed inside those things, and still didn't put much stress on the rails.
Speakin' of Scott Paper...what happened ta the plant in Everett?

Hmm. That address doesnt look right. It looks like the link pointing here was faulty.
I was going to ask somebody here if "86' hi-cube" boxcars were running anywhere these days. Scott Paper in Everett Wa had numerous 86' cube cars assigned to them in the 70-80-90's. Cant say as I've seen any in the last 20 years (of course I haven't been looking that hard).

It's just going to sit shut-down for now. Kimberly Clark took over Scotts long time ago. Seen many articles in the Everett Herald about all sorts of grandoise plans for the mill space. You can bet it will take years to clean up all the pollution spewed forth over 70-80 yrs or so.
