Mudslide comes down on Z train in Everett...caught on video

Between Everett and Seattle on the BNSF coast line, its been nearly impossible

to keep up with the mudslides. All the rain...the mud just keeps sliding down.

Hard to see any end to this either as long as it keeps raining everyday.

Think he might a BNSF guy. A hard place for anybody to get in
that Port of Everett area unless you have some clearance.

Listening the BNSF airwaves this afternoon on my garage scanner,
caught the roadmaster who must have been in a highrailer call in
a slide right before his eyes. I always get them mixed up which is
main one and main two on the double track between Everett and Seattle.
MAIN ONE is next to BEACH. Remember that! MAIN TWO sits next
to the bank, cliff, all the mud you could ever want. BNSF has no other
options between Seattle and Everett. I would not want to be a
roadmaster on the BNSF Scenic Sub right now. You can add another
2-3 inches of rain on the cliffs the past 24 hours.

There were another 9 slides in the last 24 hours between
Everett and Seattle. I'm guessing you know this stretch of
track carries all the Seattle to Chicago traffic as well as the
Seattle to Vancouver BC traffic and all the AMTK and Sounder commuter trains. I can tell you that there is
no end to this mud coming down on the tracks. There could
be a "grand event" where this 30 mile stretch is no more.
