...but it's still some damn good guitar... Mike Bloomfield. And a young Steve Stills. Al Kooper on keyboards. They were one of the late '60s 'super-groups,' an all star line up...

When I lived in 'Jersey, got ta see all of 'em together at the ol' Fillmore East, in NYC, TWICE!

Damn good show... Unfortunately Bloomfield passed way too soon, and Al Kooper... He's no longer amongst the breathing. Stills outlasted all the groups he participated in.

More about the 'album' that was issued on vinyl at 33-1/3...'member real records?

Never part of the "Super Session" group. Here's more about Mike Bloomfield, who died in 1981, at 37... Much too young. He was a great guitar player, who influenced a lot of cats who followed...

Al Kooper, who I'd mentioned in that first post, isn't dead. In fact he still records, composes, and produces. He lives in NYC, and is about my age!

You might wanna do yer own digging Cal. Crosby, Stills, and Nash came together back in maybe '68. Stills was the guy who brought the other two originals together. Neil Young joined in a couple years later for the CSN&Y album(s).

Too many egos spoiled the band... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crosby,_Stills_%26_Nash_%28and_Young%29

Short bios for each cited here. I'm sure you might find more on each, if you delved into the R&R Hall of Fame archives. But the Wiki article's a good starting point, if you're serious...

Yeah, and for Stills and Young, before that was Buffalo Springfield, a longtime personal fave.
