I don't see any trees where I've read that the pretty girls in the Equality State are standing behind.

Close enough FMB but this place your photo was taken was atleast 1400

miles away from Everett. I'm glad you posted it as its a good picture.

Got any more?

Krink... I originally stopped to get a picture of the sun reflecting off the power lines (see attachment) but saw the headlight around the corner and waited... I was looking for a 'low light' photo for my photography class...

Is that class given in sign language?

Good Pic, but I'd like it better if it had 4 Milwaukee Road SD-40's on the point.

Well you just had to be there at the "time". I can envision 4 MILW SD-40-2's
on this turn or anywhere on the MILW mainline. MILW ran many long-distant
freights with all SD40-2's. Getting a picture of 4 SD40's as "the power" for the
train sounds easy but I have very few in my collection. I know many consists
of BN SD40-2's went by me as I worked the night manifest clerk at the Everett
Depot for years. BN got into the 3 SD40-2's and a GE B30-7 cabless unit
for just about every mainline train for about 5 year period in the late 1980's.
Things got boring. I may have more but this is what I can find in short notice.
The SD40-2 is my favorite unit of all-time. I've heard up to 10 in a lash-up
all roaring to the max and it's a sound that I can appreciate.

Most power I ever recall being on the line at one time was six units of assorted models.  TEN?!!  EIGHT AND GO!

Okay Cy I managed to find in my collection an "Eight" and a "Ten".
Mostly SD40-2's in both shots.

"Super-elevated curves" is something that I've always liked .
A train going fast on a super-elevated curve. I'm lucky I guess
that the Great Northern had many an "elevated-curves" on
the Scenic Sub and Bham Subs. It was all built for the fastest
passenger train speeds way back when. I came up with a few
of my favorites of the train "leaning into the curve". Lots
more pix to come.

The BN Scenic Sub may have more elevated curves than a whole lot of
other railroads put together. I have yet to get that pefect shot the BN
mainline leaving Lowell eastward a mile or so and goes into the most
prolific super-elevated curve of your dreams. Only problem is that the
best vantage points require shooting into the sun for every shot. All the
land on the "sun-side" of this curve is farmland that has more "no-
tresspassing signs" than you ever saw in your life. I took some chances
20yrs ago on the other side but that is no more. I'm almost willing to
meet up with some of these land-owners and see if I can get permission
to be on the "other side of the tracks" between Lowell and Snohomish
for some pictures. These pictures would be something nobody has
ever taken pictures of. The BNSF Chicago-Seattle mainline is always
going to have some trains that are photogenic. Got some pictures in

mind. Stay tuned.
