The number one reason anyone would hate a coal train right now is being stuck at a RR crossing waiting for one to pass by. Out of the city coal trains do 50mph and it's not a long wait. But a coal train having to slow down to pass through a city like a 20-25mph can have car-traffic backed-up quite a ways. Then toss-in a few "lost my air" and you have a city cut in half until the train gets moving again. Marysville and Mt Vernon- Burlington and Bellingham will need some over/under passes built.
