BNSF has started moving corn and soy beans from Midwest farms. They're headed towards Japan and China.

Several strings of empty hoppers line tracks in Balmer Yard. Really glad ta see that, since the outfit that runs the grain terminal (and the city) was talking about tearing it down ta put more "housing" on that land.

That land would fetch millions, since it's right on the bay... And that "Million Dollar View" is why they gobble up vacant land 'round here! Sea-side views, with sunsets, sailboats, the Washington State Ferry System boats, and the container ships...
