I spent the night cleaning up a mess after a collision in south Philly.  Seems the q409 shoved in the blind, hit the y101 and shoved it into the Shared Assets crew the SP18.  The 409 is a Baltimore crew.  Conductor thought so he says that the utility had the move, but it seems that the utility man wasn't attached.

 

Dipshit BOT I had, when we coupled up to the wrecked engine and cars after retailing them, wanted to take them to RG with out air.  I figured out why I wasn't getting any, then we left.  The conductor's brake valve was still open on the wrecked engine.  This kid thinks he is Gawd's gift to railroading, but he does everything half assed.  Saw him go in-between with out three step once.

LAMCO investigation next week for similar UB foibles. UB supposedly supposed to have shove. Didn't. Wasn't attached, although he really didn't have to be. Did not do the third most important thing behind riveted side shields and canary vest: job briefing! Cap'n started short eight car shove. No communication to engineer about who was protecting shove, method of communication, etc., etc, (Surprised it's not completely the engineer's fault.) They ran through a switch on the other end of the yard!!!!!!!!! LAWD JEEBUS!!!! THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ON LAMCO!!!!!!

Still no EVIDENCE anywhere that UB was aware they had started to shove to him. Snippy believes UB 'knew' but didn't 'know'. Offered Cap'n START Serious and by GAWD!!! he ain't takin' this shit!!!!

(START Serious because they left the track hanging out through the switch for somebody else to discover. Cap'n because UB had no idea what was going on.)

Here I thought the BOSS (actually referred by rule as the "ranking" "crewmember")  had to notify each crewmember of the presence of and name of a utilityman, and then after all the crewmembers acknowledged this information then the ranking crewmember is supposed to notify the utility man that he was attached to the crew.

In the same way, all crewmembers must acknowledge the drop of the utilityman then the ranking crewmember tells the utilityman is unattached.

 

I can't see how it would be up for question whether the man was attached or not, just play back the tapes.

No, I'm lying, it takes to long to play games on the radio.

 This is correct if he is to foul the equipment. Anyone or any approved technology can watch a shove.

Not sure about the hog getting into trouble. The BOT was giving car counts, but not protecting the shove Yes, the box car is destroyed, I will see if I can get pictures. I placed it in the car shop, close to where the cutting torches are. I am suspect that you have some stake in that billion dollar figure, you, the manipulator of the LIBOR>>>>

The boss shouldn't have been givin car counts unless he was passing them.

If youre not talkin to the man on the point there is no man on the point. I would have stopped and then laughed when I got called a prick.
