Well I knew it just a matter of before the ARCO refinery

at Cherry Point WA would be getting in on this Bakken

crude by train. Well apparently shipments are on the way

by this Drainorder thread. This will add atleast one more

oil train leaving Everett everyday that could expand to

2 before you know it. This new oil business on top the

2 loaded trains going to Anacortes daily. Of course these

trains have a short turn-around time and they are coming

back as empty oil trains. That and the coal trains. The

BNSF Bellingham Subdivision is going to be busy in the

future. This will make the "new-found railroad radicals"

in Bham even more riled as these new oil trains pass

through town every day and they cant stop it. The

BNSF has a pretty good safety record of successful

train movemnts thru Bellingham without incident.

Its 25mph through the entire metropolis of Bellingham

for every train so whatever derails is not likely to

cause more than a few cars hit the dirt and maybe

stay upright.
