Lotta history. Knew about Conrail after damn near everybody else was hangin' on after Penn Central came to a screeching halt, and the 42%-58% split b'tween CSX & NS when they bought CR... But those railroads south of the Mason-Dixon Line, how'd they end up in the NS mix? Were they already owned by the NW, or Southern before that marriage, or..?

(Erie Lackawanna happened way before CR, same-same PC...)

What about that, Snippy, since Cy's never gonna see it?  Is it something Cy would have complained bitterly about every time?  Other than the fact that they're turning out noisy junk, that is.

Dottie brought this thread back from the dead. I guess she is a necromancer.

*cy*, they are pretty fucking hideous. The displays are reflective and angled wrong.

Uke, there was Seaboard Air Line and Atlantic Coast Line, which became Seaboard Coast Line, and Southern serving the South, with all their corporate framework that Snippy takes great pride in. Red Team only got as far as North Carolina, dipping into Durham and Winston-Salem.
