I'm finally getting to see a few spring training games

on TV finally as the M's do some "whittling down"

towards to the 25-man roster. Like everything I see

so far as the M's have a great spring training record

only losing like 5 games so far. Next transmission on

this thread comes opening day 2014 and I give you

the "birds-eye low-down".

I'm thinking the 2014 Seattle Mariners can win the AL West.

Will it be a neck in neck race with the A's?

Will know by the end of April. These 2014 M's are much different/better
team due to the rising stars going into season 3 and Robinson Cano and
he really is a superstar baseball player. He is like a "Magic Johnson" and
he makes the team better in every way. His stats are right at the top
despite being "pitched around" by the Angels. I'm still trying to process
Robinson Cano in a M's uniform but but he is doing what he always does
and seems to be happy with his new team and that means many wins
I think.

M's lose their first game at Oakland. Homeplate umpire was having
a tuff day and blew just too many pitches and the M's were thrust
in to a 12 inning game where the M's had to bring in Hector Noesi
as the last one on the bench. He throws 2 pictches and the 2nd
was hit a long way. Hector got released Friday. The M's organization
gave every chance in the world to Hector but in the end Hector needs
a new team. This is a good thing to happen because the new guy
called-up is really good but I dont know his name yet. I think with
the non-tearful good-bye to Hector Noesi, the M's have shed all the
remaining "baggage" from trades that dint work out so well from
the current 25-man roster. Its a 25-man roster right now that "can"
be extraordinary. I havent seen Cory Hart all that much but if he
has a great year that will go a long ways. Logan Morrison is another
I havent seen enough yet to see whats possible. The 2014 Mariners
have "no-stiffs" and no players playing "just" because of their "defensive
prowness" and its ok to hit .194. The 2014 Seattle M's are going to
surprise everybody.

King Felix...both his starts against the Angels and the A's have been
extraordinary. Wonder why Felix is so strong in April? Born April 8th.
I've seen it time and time again where athletes have a great month
surrounding their birthdays. Its the Sun conjunct Sun plus the utilization/
power of your sun sign to achieve what you can and with athletes
they just get on a good ride thinking it must be coming from Gawd.
King Felix comes out of gate with no struggles with anything and thats
good. He had no-no stuff against Oakland. See what happens with the
M's home opening series and Felix is pitching at Safeco with 5000 fans
sitting in the Kings Corner all with yellow t-shirts and "K" cards yelling
K K K K K K K on almost every pitch. Felix has yet to complain about
Seattle fans doing that so it is one of the craziest displays/things going
on in baseball to "favor the pitcher"...just doesnt happen elsewhere

Kind of a weird home-start homestand where its 2-games against the
Angeles and a day-off and then 3-games with the A's and then on the
road again. M's hitters have cooled-off quite a bit since seeing Safeco
Field for the first time in 2014. M's have 3-starting pitchers on the DL
Iwakuma-Walker-Paxton and so the starting pitching may face some
challenging times ahead. Not too worried about King Felix making his
2014 Safeco Field start Friday. Should be a great game to watch.

King Felix is pitching at a level only he can do. 3 starts and 3-wins.
30 strikeouts in the last 3-games and a great ERA average. He is
dialed-in as he can throw any pitch he wants and its a strike or
he throws a pitch in the dirt that the batter just cant refuse and
the batter makes a spastic swing at it. King Felix is one of the great
pitchers ever and 10yrs into his career he just turned 28. Felix
is pitching lights-out to start the year and I think he's going to
get some run-support when he is pitching this year. Felix could
win 25 games this year.

I just have to chalk it up to the celestial aspects currently for last 3-4 games
that were lost in a walk-off or some other totally out-of-character fashion.
These are brutal defeats. I've seen streaks like this before on road trips
these loses just leave you numb. M's starting pitching is desimated by
injury. Iwakuma, Walker, Paxton, all on the DL. No great talent ready
to step in from Tacoma and give a strong 6-7 inning performance.
Brandon Mauer go for the M's on Sunday to try to win a game in Miami.
I guess its how I learn about baseball players today is by watching the
M's play the Marlins or any other team. By the end of a 3-4 game series
you will remember every opposing players name a lot better than before.
The Miami Marlins have some great young hitters and Stanton leads
the league in RBI's. This is one scary hitter. So I think the M's pain
will continue in Miami and a 6hr plane ride home to face the Astros
for 3 and Texas for 3. I get a little worried when the M's just dont
get "automatically well" at Safeco. Last homestand it seemed like
they never played there before. I like Lloyd Mac at the helm. That
steady un-emotional look (fellow Capricorn) of confidence which
is much more preferable to the Eric Wedge constant face twitching
every time the TV camera focus on him. I'm sure Lloyd cant believe
the "bounces" the M's have seen so far and I'm not saying this is
a "Welcome to Seattle Lloyd" by any means. The M's need to wait
until Mars goes direct May 20 and see how the team responds
after that. My earlier zest for this team has been tempered some
what with the play lately but we havent even hit the 20 game point
yet. Oakland playing very well with all the celestial going-on's is
a good sign for them and they jump on top of the AL West by
a few games. Every time I see Robinson Cano come to the plate
I keep thinking he will accomplish something and so far his
accomplishments at the plate being of the "soft"-variety 300
hitter which has dipped to .262 or something like that.
I hope it isnt a "so goes Cano so goes the M's" season unless
he gets hot and I think I want that to happen after that.
M's get their projected 1-5 starting pitchers back for the
last 2/3's of the season could put them in contention down the
the stretch. The M's bats really need to come alive as I know
those hits are all within them.

When did the Double M's go to the American League? I guess having two south Florida teams in the AL is like having two Texass teams in the AL?

Or, is this early interleague play? (<--- the answer) Snippy is dusting off Goggle as we speak. Thank you Goggle for the answer. Snippy promises to pay more attention soon.

And here I thought Snippy knew everything about what used to be called the National Pastime.

Miami sucks!

Snippy I guess you dint get the memo about the 2014 MLB schedule where

inter-league play is sprinkled throughout the season rather than what

was the traditional May-June games where the bulk of inter-league

play took place.  Yes there is an inter-league game on tap every

weekend now. I like the idea as I get to see the M's play some

team I dont know too much about or a lot about. M's visit a NL

team park and the pitcher gets to hit. Some relish the idea as

King Felix loves to grab a bat. The M's trip to Miami was an

inter-league match-up meaning Miami is a NL team still.

Have to say this Miami team has some young hitters that

are just getting started and they are going to be a force.

The Marlins starting pitchers are all fire-ballers meaning

95-98mph fastballs all game. Not something a visiting

team can have great success against most of the time.
