Who needs Bromley Award® winning Gus when you have the Foxy guy who probably indirectly causes more hate and discontent than anyone else issuing heartphelt statements?

Team:
I am deeply saddened to inform you that early this morning in Klamath Falls, Oregon, Mechanical Supervisor Emery Connor was shot and killed in his office by another employee. A criminal investigation is underway, and BNSF is cooperating fully. There is much we still do not know about the events that occurred this morning or why they occurred.
A loss like this is felt throughout the BNSF family and I encourage each of you to support one another and to join me in expressing our deepest sympathy to Mr. Connors family, friends and colleagues.
Mr. Connor is survived by his wife Lynn, his son Luke, who is 11, and his daughter Emily, who is 7. Our first focus on this difficult day is to assist the family in their time of need. We have met with and will continue to offer our support to them.
We have never experienced a tragic incident of this nature before within our BNSF community, and I know we are all deeply shaken. Remember that, in addition to the support of the BNSF community, our Employee Assistance Program is available to anyone who needs assistance.
With todays events weighing on our hearts and minds, we must focus, as always, on the importance of working safely as we carry out the tasks before us. At a time like this, we know we can rely on the strength of the BNSF community to offer comfort and support.

Greg

P.S. In the meantime our legal dept. is working overtime to eliminate any trace of liability on our part....
