Took 19 year old grandson to the KY speedway last nite and everything went great for him. He wore his number 2 tee shirt and ball cap and was a happy guy when Keslowski won. I had a tough time climbing to the upper reaches of the turn 4 tower, but tried not to let it show.
Rented a scanner / headset for him and he loved it. We could see the wreck replays on a jumbo tv screen just behind the pit area. A mile and a half track seems to be just about right for visibility and speed.
Good crowd, no rain, easy exit to I-75; GTWHBA................Wes
3 nights of racing from Kentucky Speedway with the Trucks, Nationwide,
and Sprintcup and all were wirth watching on the TV. Got to keep an eye
on those Penske team drivers of Bad Brad and Joey Lagano as theyve
been on the front row the last 4-5 starts because they got this new
qualifying system down. Know Joey Lagano is engaged to be married
but Brad K doesnt ever have any girlfriends around. Brad isnt that
ugly to not have a girlfriend and he's wealthy so he must be "channeling"
his mojo to just racing. Love the "bumps" at Kentucky Speedway.

Saturdays night race at Daytona the "Coke-Zero" 400 gets rained out
and will now be a "late morning race" Sunday morning. Rain and
Racing dont mix and its a major de-convience to race the next day.
All those in attendance have to do some shuffling to their extra
night in Daytona and it appears your arent going to make it home
when you said. Well since I have no monies invested in being at
Daytona for this race, I would love to watch this race as every
race at Daytona is worth watching on TV

This whole 4th of July weekend had the Sun oppose Pluto energy which isnt the most pleasurable. Daytona holding the "Firecracker 400" or now called the "Coke-Zero 400" on the heels of departed hurricane Arthur and some residue weather bands left behind. The whole 4-day stay at Daytona was plagued by wet weather. So its only aprapo that the 400 mile race got called after 112 laps and a first time winner Aric Almirola or something like that in the Petty 43 car. How cool is that. The race had two "big-ones" wrecks that the whole 43 car field was involved in except for 6-7 drivers that manged to get through both crashes unscathed.
