This curve, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Standard Railroad of the World.  Pipes might recognize this location, I'm on the head end, looking back.  Many years later, scene of a little excitement.  Also, it just occurred to me that a guy got fired using his camera here.

Snippy sincerely hopes it wasn't for using that camera.

Picky Snippy.  It's a historical artifact.  Cy tried to take good pictures but some were just grab shots.  Cy hasn't the viewfinder talents that FMB, for example, has displayed. Does this look any better?

Actually, I was thinking about this and I'm on a bay window NKP-type caboose, looking ahead.

 Looks a lot better. Thanks.

Snippy didn't realize that he was looking at one of the numerous Red Team mainline train wrecks on their unmaintained track before they joined the Green Team.

Glad the auto rack is empty, wouldn't have wanted to destroy any of that Detroit Big Iron of those days.

On another note, those NKP bay window cabs were the best. Rode good and had a certain ambiance to them.

Krink, it may never look good but in my dotage, I'm convinced that any picture of any long-gone scene is a glimpse into the past and to be treasured for whatever we can see in them.

Snippy, the finest cabooses I ever rode were SP and UP cabooses, both rode real well and were well equipped.

We'll ignore your comments about bad track and train wrecks, we had a safe, uneventful trip from the fine county of Cy's ancestral origins to the home of picnic table lovers in the north, it wasn't bad track, we've just left the Valley a couple of miles behind us, and passing the Ohio State fairgrounds.

Krink, thank you for your own sort of Tough Love visited upon *cy*. He needed that.

Snippy got it good enough that he can read that the rack closest to the camera is a Shit on the Frisco rack...

Notice that picture was taken from the fireman's side of a Red Team steamer.
