Think China sort of merged a bunch of railways to become the

Worlds Longest train route. Moving the goods by rail out of

China to Europe will be something to watch in years to come.

Or insure employment for those railroad employees located
in the far away towns where the gauge changes. Seems some
knowhow is incorporated to do this everyday. Think Australia
has a history of "run-thru's" going from one gauge to another.
For some reason I recall a 5ft guage in Australia.
