Been almost 2 months without a train picture in Everett and
the Sun is out and blue skies and its a Saturday so "I go in".
I did check my astro calendar before going and the Moon
is "void of course" all day which means I could be venturing
into a "dead-zone" which is fine with me because locomotives
standing still are easy to photograph. So for the first time
since I've been taking pictures at Delta Yard I get pictures of
a CP unit...a SD40M-2 which I would say is how I remember
the CP glory years of 4-5 SD40-2's on every train. Noticed
on this date that the Marsh Tracks at Delta were empty
which I haven't seen very many or any time. So over to
Bayside Yard and the "ROOEVE" garbage train inbound
empties train is holding at the north end of Bayside with
a CREX unit on the point. This is only the 2nd CREX unit
I got pictures of. Sun bad for a spectacular shot but
these 2 will work. Then on down to the ex-Scott Paper
pulp mill site and there was a dead PASVBC (Pasco Wa-
Vancouver BC) once again in bad Sun but a fairly
decent shot. Yes I hit a big lull in the action but still
head home with more than a dozen pictures. Thats
what I love about Everett.
If you are in a horror movie, you make bad decisions, its what you do.
