M's become "sellers" as Austin Jackson is delalt to the Cubs for
a player to be named later and the Cubs pick in the Latin draft.
Austin Jackson came to the M's from the Tigers mid-season 2014
and was pretty mediocre hitting but was great in center field.
2015 Austin got off to a slow start but was hitting at a hot pace
and the Cubs were interested. Think this was a great trade for
the M's as Austin Jackson is not a dynamic player...more a methodical
player never trying to do much at the plate. Will be following Austin
in the Cub's boxscores daily to see how its going. Kinda sensed
that M's were going to be sellers after the Mark Lowe deal to
Toronto. M's lucky to get the Cubs to pay Fernando Rodney
dollars owed in that trade. Since I cant find Dustin Ackley in the
Yankees boxscores...he must be playing in the minor leagues.
Sept 1th and the "call-up" for every MLB team and a 40-man
roster. I'd say I approve of every trade the M's have made so
far "under new management".

So the M's take on the 1st place Houston Astros at Minute-Maid Park
where the Astros have the best home record in MLB but also have to
face Dallas Keuchel who is battling King Felix for most wins this season.
Kuechel pitches his game and only Mark Trumbo could figure him out.
Trumbo had a 2hr night for all the M's runs. M's lose big 8-3 as the
"new" bullpen couldnt stop the Astros. Keuchel gets his 16th win..
one more than Felix. Game 2 had Roenis Elias on the mound and
he goes 5 1/3 giving up 4-runs. The game was tied 5-5 until the
top of the 8th when Logan Morrison hit a pinch-hit 2-run hr and
the M's bullpen preserved the 7-5 win. Game 3 had Tiwon Walker
going for the M's and he pitched pretty good leaving the game
after 6+ innings with the score tied 3-3. M's score 2 the
top of the 8th to make it 5-3 and then "LoMo" finishes the deal
with a 3-run shot in the top of the 9th for a 8-3 win to take the
3-game series 2-1. Some September call-up's had a role in the
win...O'mally and Romero. Ketel Marte is the new young SS
that will be around a long time in the future for the M"s.
M's fly to SF to play the A's a 3-game series. M's always stay
in SF when they play the Oakland A's. Seems the accomidations
are beter in SF. Dread hearing that bad percussion ensemble
at Oakland...again. King Felix will pitch game 2.

It doesnt seem so much to ask to play .500 ball...I mean if the
M's could have achieved a .500 win percentage at this point in the
season...they would be in the running for a wildcard. M's got stuck
playing .500 ball with a 10 loss differential that never could be
made-up. Improvement in the M's offence is very apparent but
the pitching has really took a dive. I think only 2 relief pitchers
remain from the start of the season and the bunch now getting
some MLB experience for the first time. Being Celestially Aware
I have seen time and time again the effects of MIR or VIR on
a player who is not Celestially Aware. I mean a lot of baseball
players go into slumps of some nature or the one's who take
advantage of this time to set some record.

M's at A's for a 3-game series. M's have no choice but take
a pitcher from the bullpen for this start. Olmos gets his
2nd start and lasts 1 1/3rd innings giving up 6-hits and 5-runs.
Sounds like a "L" for Olmos for sure but the M's score 6-runs
in the 3rd inning to get him off the hook. Turned out to be a
battle of the bullpens and the M's get a 11-8 victory. Guti
got a groin injury in this game. Nelson Cruz was out from a
Quad injury at Houston and Robinson Cano is playing hobbled.
These 3 players have been everything the last month to the
"turn-around". Game 2 had "The King"...King Felix pitching
after some extended rest. The A's hitters really had no chance
this day as Felix never pitched a ball "straight". I think of
Mariano Rivera when I saw a pitch "straight as an arrow"..
The King does it differently and he goes 8-innings giving up
3-runs and 9 K's for another "Quality Start" and up his record
to 16-8. M's pile up the runs late to win 8-3. Part of the success
of the M's pitching in 2014 was Iwakuma following Felix as the
2 "Aries Hurlers" are a pretty potent punch back to back. Well
its taken until September before Iwakuma got aligned behind
King Felix for next start and it was like old times as between
the 2 pitchers you could win a 3-game series and Iwakuma
pitched great at Oakland game 3 and the M's win a 3-2 thriller
to head to Safeco with a 7-3 roadtrip (could have been a 8-2
trip had Brad Miller make a simple throw to 1st base).
So the M's have won 5 in a row for the first time this season
and a dent in the -10 differential. Big chance to cut into the
Texas Rangers lead as the Rangers visit Safeco for a 4-game
series.

"I did lookee at your link" but it dint work. King Felix on the
mound to see if the M's can get a split of the 4 games against
Texas Thursday at 12:40PM. As usual I will post "series summary"
at the conclusion of the 4-games.

The M's return home after a 11-day 10-game road trip to host
the Texas Rangers who are nipping at the heels of the Astros
for 1st place in the AL West. M's play a day game at Oakland
Sunday and fly home to Seattle to play a "Labour Day" day
game against the Rangers. M's never seem to get going right
away after coming home so game 1 went to Texas as the M's
couldnt figure out Yovani Gallardo and the Texas bullpen as the
5-game win streak came to an end as the M's absorb a 3-0 shutout.
Roenis Elias had a good starting effort only giving up 2-runs but
zero offence from the M's this day. Game 2 had Taijuan Walker
going after his 11th win this season that turned into his 8th loss
after only 3-innings. M's can make this a 9-6 game and Texas
takes games 1&2. Game 3 and things swing the M's way with
the starting pitcher "TBA" is Vidal Nuno who has been in the
bullpen and a spot starter. Vidal had it all going as he 1-hits the
Rangers over 7-innings and the M's bullpen keeps it at "one-hit".
Mark Trumbo and Kyle Seager both had 4-4 nights with HR's and
the M's shutout the Rangers 6-0. Game 4...a 12:40PM start
Thursday at Safeco has "The King" on the mound for the M's
against Dereck Holland for the Rangers. The "King" was dealin'
strikes and gets another "ultra quality start" going 8-innings
with 9K's and gave up "nada". Felix gets his 17th win and a
good shot at 20 wins before the end of the season. Nelson

Cruz getting his first AB's in a week smashes his 40th HR to

tie his total last year with Baltimore. Nelson may hit 50 before

the end of the season. Colorado in town the next 3-nights.

With only 20, or 21 games left to play this season, and the Ms not playing .500 ball... A miracle could happen, although that's unlikely.

Then again let's not discount celestial influences. Meaning anything could happen, and probably will.

Actually its 19 games left to get to .500 which would be a major
accomplishment and not leave a "scar" on the season if they
did that. The MLB season is a long 6-7 month season in which
you may encounter "2-MIR periods" and this year had a "VIR"
of 6-weeks in the middle of the season. "MIR" Sept 18th pretty
much ends any chance the M's chance of finnishing above .500
So the M's in 2016 will have a new GM making deals. The Sept
call-ups look very promising and get a chance to play. Shawn O'Malley
and Ketel Marte look very ready to play everyday.

The M's just played Colorado recently at Coors Field and came
out with a series win. Colorado Rockies are 2nd in the NL in BA.
Game 1 at Safeco has Hishasi Iwakuma on cruise control pitching
a gem through 6.1 inninings...and then another "derailment"
giving up a 3-run shot to Dustin Garneau and that was to much
for the M's to overcome...Rockies 4-2 game 1. Game 2 gave those
"glimpses" of what the M's could be on a regular basis. Roenis Elias
the young Cuban pitcher goes 5 1/3 giving up 2-runs and gets his
5th win of the season while the M's "Big-Bats" come to life as Cruz
(his 41st), Cano, Montero, and Guti go deep and M's win 7-2.
Game 3 has M's James Paxton making his 1st start since May
when he tore something in his pitching hand. James did OK on a
short-pitchcount but gets the loss as 3-runs held-up for the
Rockies with the M's squandering RISP late. M's needed this series
win but so goes this season. No let-up in baseball action as the
Angels come to Safeco Field for a 3-game series.

Angels in Seattle for a 3-game series and they're more in the hunt
for a Wild card berth than the M's. Game one had M's pitching
sensation Taijuan Walker on the mound for maybe his last start
of the season (too many innings) and he goes 7-innings, 4-hits,
one run to go 11-8 on the season. M's score 6-runs in the bottom
of the 7th to make this a 10-1 laffer. Game 2 had King Felix getting
the start and of course "The Kings Court" was in session too. The
King was pitching real good until the "most unusual looking" baseball
player in MLB "David Murphy" hit a 3-run shot. The King pitched on
into the 6th when Trout hit a solo shot to make it 4-1. Nelson Cruz
smashes his 42nd HR in this game to make it 4-2. The King goes to
17-9 on the season. Game 3 had Iwakuma against Jarred Weaver
which was a good match-up. Weaver becoming more of a Jamie
Moyer pitcher today with all kinds of "slow-junk" and it worked until
Jesus Montero hit a 67mph curveball into the seats to give the M's
a 3-0 lead. Iwakuma pitches almost a flawless 6-innings and gets
his 8th win (8-4). M's bullpen pitch a flawless 7-8-9 and the M's
finish the 10-game homestand 5-5. Still 5-games below .500 and
on the last roadtrip of 2015 to Texas-KC-Angeles.

The M's arrive in Texas to 92 degrees for a 3-game series.
Texas now leads the AL West so it wont be easy. Game 1 had
some controversey over the "fairness" of a shot by Ketel Marte
that lead to 2 M's runs. Rangers mgr get tossed out of the game.
Kyle Seager gets a RBI and M's up 3-0 in the 2nd inning. James
Paxton starts for the M's but can only go 4 1/3 but leaves with
the lead.M's (much improved) bullpen makes the 3-1 stick.
Game 2 was a disaster as Vidal Nuno was unable to pitch
effectively under MIR. His last start with no MIR he pitched
the game of his career so far. This game he goes 3 1/3 giving up
5-runs. The M's bullpen give up another 5-runs so that equals
10 runs and Franklin Guitierrez has a HR for the M's one run.
Game 3 a day game had King Felix on the mound and he got the
job done although he had to throw a lot of pitches and came out
of the game after 5 2/3 with some soreness in pitching arm.
Lucky for the King the M's offence put up 9-runs and a 9-2 win.
The King gets his 18th win with 2-more starts to get 20.
Robbie Cano has a big day making the Rangers "pay" for
intentionally walking Nelson Cruz twice. Kyle Seager and
Franklin Gutierrez hitting extremely well. M's now 4- games
below .500 going to Kansas City for a 3-game series. Remember
a M's trip to KC last year where they got a sweep. MIR roadtrips
anything is possible.
