LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) A 60-something Los Angeles man was killed on New Years Day after a refrigerator fell on him while he was trying to grab a beer, according to the LA County Coroners Office.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of 76th Street as the man was getting the alcoholic drink from a fridge in his garage, said Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.
Winter said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
