Since the BNSF makes a million dollars on every oil train
seems they can add to the labor force a little. 35 MPH
through cities of 100k or more. So out in the toolies its
50-60-65mph. I like the vigilance of flat-spot wheels
more. Kinda funny..with the advent of welded rail and
no more "clickity-clack" you finally hear how bad train
wheels can be. Sounds like the BNSF is taking some action
on making oil trains safer... which I know no matter what
they do the celestial influences on a given day may
take an oil train an turn it into a fireball. Good move
to let the media and public aware that the BNSF is
doing something to alieviate some fears.
