I bought a pretty obscure 45rpm when it came out in 1967
as a young teen by the "New Yorkers" and a song called
"Mr Kirby". Well I was young at the time and never gave
consideration to "who Mr. Kirby" might be . Could it be a pre-
cursor to "Mr Krinkle"...think maybe. The song doesnt
grab me now but it did once. Still have the 45rpm record
for reasons I'm not sure of.

I actually own 2 Wang/Huang Chung Lps and I liked the band
enough. This isnt the song I was searching for but offers up
the sounds that Wang Chung could only do. Put out as a 12"
single which means if you find it..you buy it. There is another
song they had that I need to remember

Okay. That takes the prize. The fuckin' worst of the lot thus far! Let the BJPC know that Buckethead deserves a prize for that "One Hit Wonder" thing!

Jeezuss what an annoying' song, despite all the chiquitas!

"The Human Beinz" had a one-hit with "Nobody but me"
and I have this 45rpm single. Still sounds good today.

Today was the day:

September 25 is the day we celebrate those songs that raced up the charts but we sadly never heard of that artist again.

National One-Hit Wonder honors all of the musical artists who had that one and only song reach the Top 40 charts.

The best way to celebrate is to listen to that one, or many, of the one-hit wonders for a music filled day. Use #OneHitWonderDay to post on social media.

Not sure where to place this tune by the Lemon Pipers.
Came from the Lemon Pipers LP "Green Tambourine".
Besides said title song had other hits such as "Rice is Nice"
"Blueberry Blue". The band gives many hints to their
"psychedelic awareness" with Green Tambourine but
if you never bought this LP you would of never heard this
cut off the LP. "Through with You" is a 8 1/2 minute example
of "pyschedelic awareness.
