http://www.railwayage.com/index.php/mechanical/locomotives/introducing-the-ns-gp33eco.html

Norfolk Southern unveiled on Sept. 1, 2015 its new GP33ECO switcher locomotive during ceremonies at Inman Yard in Atlanta, Ga.
Designed and constructed at the railroads Juniata locomotive shops, the GP33ECO will see yard service as the mother unit in a mother-slug set. So far, 10 have been built.
The GP33ECO mother unit is mated to a ballasted slug unit equipped with four d.c. traction motors and two EMD electrical cabinets. Unlike other slugs, this one goes through transition and does not cut out at 20 mph, said Duve.

Congradulations and Champaine for everyone involved.

Imagine the extra cost involved to make the slug go thru transition (thusly needing the increased rpm notch 4 thru 6) so that they are capable of going over 20 mph inside a 10 mph yard.

Notice that they have scab warning lights on them.

Built in Juniata. Chances are they don't work - with or without transition.
