Two trains collided Thursday at the Port of Tacoma.

It was the second train collision in the city in the past week.

Thursdays crash happened about 7:20 a.m. near Lincoln Avenue and Port of Tacoma Road.

An inbound BNSF train loaded with containers of general freight was idle on the track when it was hit by a Tacoma Rail train, BNSF spokesman Gus Melonas said.

The Tacoma Rail locomotive and four rail cars derailed.

The Tacoma Rail engine was going less than 10 mph when it struck the BNSF train, according to Tacoma Public Utilities.

No cargo spilled and the BNSF driver was not hurt. One person, presumably from the Tacoma Rail train, suffered minor injuries.

Equipment was brought in to put the derailed cars back on track. In the meantime, the rail line used by about 50 trains a day was not affected by the accident.

Tacoma police closed sections of Port of Tacoma Road and Marshall Avenue.

Fellers looks like our hero Casey Jones came around sharp turn with trees blocking his view not expecting to find a BNSF train sitting there blocking Port of Takoma Road.

He probably knows what the inside of that rear cab window tastes like.....

 Bobair.

M. J. Cohen-Bobair? Ha! Snippy remembered....(see below)

Remember, he had something else different about him, tu? Can't remember. It wasn't PHAG, but didn't he claim some weird kind of protected minority status that made them discriminate against him in firing him for violating restricted speed after he ran into whatever he ran into? God, when the Board set him out, he couldn't believe that being set out is being set out forever. There ain't another day in court.

This shit is funny and makes Snippy feel young again (if you can't see this cuz it's protected, let Snippy know):

and.... he is/was an executive at a fish company.... Fish Doctor of Portland, OR.

The dude was seriously fucked up.

There was another "collision" of a BNSF train and a UP train at
the South end of UP Argo Yard Seattle. 2 northbound trains
come together somehow going for the same track. I take
pictures of the TV every now and then and I wished I'd taken
a picture of this as it was kinda funny. Low-speed yard mishap.

Perhaps this mishap (Friday) is your incident Krink...or not. Same yard as above, similar location. Not Seattle however.

Remote control crew has no responsibility, hang that BNSF crew. Being a UP unit, however, the BNSF crew was most likely distracted by the bright headlights.

*cy*, you are such a nasty bidder old man. You should again be thanking Jeebus and Gawd! that there was no engineer on the scab engine. Think how seriously he could have been injured.

THANK GAWD that Snippy had only one yard engine and three, count 'em, three cars tu deal with and not a horde of multiple yard engines that he could choose to look or not look for. How is one to watch his ground crew and watch where he is going all at the same time?

How did Cy :cy: ever survive?

Snippy was going to say that Bobair looks just like Fred Sanford. (32 years ago when he was alive).
