So the weather for Seahawks at Minnesota Vikings Sunday will have a kickoff temperature of 7 degrees.
So a lot of breaths visible....player steam. Huge heaters on the sidelines blowing heat up and down
the sidelines keeping the players warm. The Vikings have been an indoor team most of their history
and so I cant see where they are going to more adept to these cold conditions any more than Seattle.
Will be a interesting game to watch.

So everyday now a new forecast comes for kickoff at Minnesota "temps". So late Tuesday
night the forecast is for -8 to 0 degrees with wind chill of 40 degrees below zero. The Vikings
wont have any chance to prepare in this weather because the huge drop in temps takes
place Saturday night when the team is asleep. I say they have no advantage of being "climatized"
to 0 degree weather anymore than the Seahawks. So both teams will see who can do what.
Could be the 2nd coldest NFL game ever played thanks to Mercury in Retrograde. Russell Wilson
knows about Wisconsin winters and playing football in the cold. Marshawn Lynch is back on the
practice field and see how feels afterwards. Other Seahawk starters coming back as well.

So at Seahawks practice for this game in zero degree temps...that each player has
selected whatever apparel to wear for this game and practice with it on... so you
know if you can do this or not...with what you got on. The time... out there in the
unprotected football field conditions in the worst conditions could be 5-minutes at a
time. Then you get back to sidelines where a big heavy coat is draped over you and
you stand in the way of huge heaters blowing heat waves. The sidelines conditions
during a very cold NFL game have improved dramatically over time. But when its zero
out ..all it takes is 5 minutes to freeze flesh. Thanks MIR for putting the Seattle Seahawks
in the worst weather for their wild card game.

So I listened to this game on the radio for the 1st quarter because my eyelids weren't
ready to open yet. Seahawks were bogged down by something in the first half (couldn't be
it was -7 outside) and the Vikings get a FG to take 3-0 lead at halftime. Seahawks always
find a way in the 2nd half but instead the Vikings get a couple FG's to make it 9-0 going into
the 4th quarter. It was not looking good for the Seahawks all game but the Seahawks had
the wind at their backs in the 4th quarter and made things happen. The muffed snap that went
past Russell Wilsons head and he recovers to get up and scramble and hit a huge pass to Tyler
Lockette who runs to the 4yd line. Next play Wilson to Baldwin to make it 9-7 Vikings. So the
next time the Hawks have the ball...Doug Baldwin makes the catch of the year...a one-hand grab
about 10-11ft in the air and bring it down for a catch. Seattle hits a long FG to make it 10-9 Hawks.
So the Vikings have the ball for the last 2mins and are putting a drive together helped by the 15-yard
PI by Cam Chancellor. Then the Vikings hit a big pass play to get it to the 18yd line. This was almost
a dejavu of the super bowl last year when the Seahawks were marching down the field with a minute
against the Patriots and knew a sure score was ahead and needed to leave "little clock" left. So instead
of the Seahawks getting intercepted with seconds left to go in the game to lose they get the Vikings
kicker to miss a chip-shot FG to preserve a win. Once the Vikings got that big pass play to the 18yd line
I knew this game was over. I put on my coat and headed to the garage where the game was on the radio
and I needed a smoke. Steve Raible and Warren Moon calling the game and if the Seahawks were to lose
on a last second FG...I wanted to hear their voices first and what they have to say about a pretty good
Seahawks season. So I'm standing in my garage holding a cig with one hand and the other hand in my
coat pocket just before the FG attempt. I closed my eyes and started doing mental wishes for the kick
to miss and then something I haven't done in many years was crossing my fingers in my coat pocket.
So I'm standing there in my garage with my eyes closed and fingers crossed as the FG attempt happened.
Steve Raible kind of matter of fact describing the play/kick take place and then it went wide and Steve
Raible went absolutely bananas describing the miss and saying "Merry Christmas Seattle". A MIR football
game for the ages. "3rd coldest NFL game" and somehow the Seahawks get the win. So it will be 50 degrees
warmer next Sunday at Carolina. Cam Newton/Russell Wilson showdown during MIR.

So I listen to the game on my bedside radio cuz at 10am I'm not up yet. So Carolina gets the
ball first and Jonathan Stewart goes for a 60yd run on either the 1st or 2nd play from scrimmage.
Carolina scores next play and its 7-0. Then Russell Wilson throws a pick-6 the next time the Hawks
have the ball. So its 14-0 and the game is barely 3mins old. Then its 21-0 then its 28-0 then its 31-0
at halftime. Turns out wasn't 31 points weren't achievable on this day for the Seahawks in the 2nd
half but it could have but it dint. Russell Wilson really had the game of his life in the 2nd half doing
his darndest to make up for those 2 INT's in the first half. If you were to subtract the Carolina pick-6
from this amazing game...it very well could be an OT game at 24-24. Seahawks were so hawt on offence
they could have pulled it out in OT but that's just 20/20. No one to blame for the loss other than "MIR".
Russell Wilson "Mr Perfect" makes 2 mistakes the whole game which is pretty good considering how
many snaps he took. Yeah...that pick-6 Russell will think about for a while.

The Seahawks had a great season and no hard feelings. With Seattle fans staying home the
next couple weeks..millions of dollars wont be spent in some American big city by a '12".

If you were to add some clock management to their hawt, hawt, hawt second half, they would have had a chance.

When you're behind 31 points in the NFL post season, you hit the field in the second half with your eye on the clock every play.

They didn't -- and they ran out of time. That's pitiful, but seems very common.

All part of playing a football game during MIR. Mental mistakes are ready to happen all
game. I heard some Monday ESPN radio and the subject of "better awareness of time"
by the Seahawks was brought up. Well all I got to say is when you have 75K screaming
fans going at it can be hard to "communicate"...and then some "weird shit factor".
Carolina has a fantastic season going and has beat the Seahawks twice so you have
give them some recognition and that 15-1 season was no joke. Seahawks get an extra
month of rest this off season not going to the Superbowl. Think the extra rest will do
them good. Think the "12's" could use some extra rest as well.

ESPN's John Clayton says that Marshawn Lynch wont be back 2016 for the Seahawks.
This proclamation will take time to see what happens. Thomas Rawls can do what Marshawn
can do and better and less monies.
