Since the fine folks at Drain Oders brought it up ie. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?2,3902661, I figured I'd put on my Historian hat and explain a few things.

Much ado is bantied about with beating of chests and Boo Hooing over the name Blue Drucker on a passenger car residing at the B&O Museam in Baltimore.

Said car was originally owned by the N&W. This car wound up being isolated on an obuscure branchline which was spun off of N&W as the Hooterville HighLine Railway Co.

This was a highly first class operation and the car could boast the first closed waste system. Instead of toilet effluent just spilling out on the tracks, it was routed to a large tank half full of a blue colored liquid that promoted breakdown of the efflent as well as providing a pleasant odor.

A prosperous business owner in Hooterville, Sam Drucker, was known to ride the Hooterville HighLine's CannonBall to Pixley every week.

One Day, on thier way back, Betty Jo was running the CannonBall and a small deer walked out on the tracks. At this same time Sam Drucker was going to relieve the rumbling in his stomach from the hurried egg salad sandwich he had wolfed down in Pixley. As he entered the cars toilet and shut the door behind him, Betty Jo had put the brakes in emergency and reversed the running gear causing a blinding spurt of Blue Goo being flung upwards out of the commode and all over Sam and the walls and floor of the car.

There was talk for a spell about a little blue man spotted running from the train and some rumblings about UFO's and alien beings. In time, these stories died down.

The car went thru several sales and other owners and uses. When the car was retired from commuter service it was donated to the B&O railroad museam for use as a source of income for the museam. The car was safe enuff and cheaply rebuilt for passenger service. Better to have a car making money that could be used to do extensive rebuilding of older, original cars. if you have no cars to run, you cant make money with an old car that needs a lot of work. Ie..fix up what yer budget can afford and then use the profits from running that to work on the old cars.

Back to the Blue Drucker, word has it that it was bandied about to use an actual B&O passenger car name. This wasnt popular and when the floor covering guys uncovered the blue stained original floorboards in the male restroom area, a small brass box was discovered under the sink, and inside the box was a yellowed piece of newspaper (The Hooterville Tribune), and an account of the day Sam Drucker ran around acting like a Space Man.

Much Laughter ensued and it was unamously voted to name the car Blue Drucker.

I think it was all because Homer Bledsoe kept trying to shut the railroad down. Homer? Hunter? Hmmm, maybe Homer wanted to sell off the valuable assets.
