So what I hoped for happened in game 2 with Jake Arrieta throwing a no-hitter for 5+ innings
to shutdown Cleveland just like Cory Kluber did the Cubs night before. Cubs got some hits and some
runs. So I wondered about this addition of Kyle Schwarber to the Cubs roster for the World Serious
as I dint know a thing about the guy. I know now as this guy is on course to make World Serious History.
So apparently he's not so accomplished in the outfield yet so Cubs have to figure out how to keep
his bat hot. Joe Maddon will figure it out. Cleveland pitchers having to hit...don't know how that will
work out yet. Just hope for weather in Chicago to be good enough for 3 nights.

Back in the 1950s some of us went to Cleveland to see Herb Score and Bob Feller share starting slots in a doubleheader  with the Yanks.

Feller was a bit past prime, but Score was red hot.  One of my friends was a obnoxious Yankee fan and delighted in rubbing in the  Cleveland losses.

It was a great contrast between old and new.

even tho we had to share it with the Yankee guy.

Feller (and a whole lot of others) lost some prime years to WWII. Still, you got to see him and Herb Score, before he got hit in the face, that's wonderful. I still treasure seeing Sandy Koufax in 1962 in Milwaukee County Stadium, vs. Warren Spahn and Koufax hitting that home run.

I haven't been to a lot of major league baseball games but I did go to Cleveland Municipal Stadium once, for a lackluster game between the Native Americans and the Yankees, I think it was.

I actually remember seeing Warren Spahn pitching on TV in the B&W era 1960's.
Have a few of his baseball cards.

Cubs fans need to prepare now for "next year" cuz it aint going to be this year.

Meanwhile in Cleveland (Ohio) they're ready for their erstwhile brave, positive opponents the Chicago Cubs!

The outcome? Anybody's guess. But the one wise(r) than you sez: Wait for it...

Cubs force game 7 at Cleveland (Ohio) tomorrow! Whoe Nelly! They're serious about this kids game eh?

Damn! Who'da thunk it? But hey, ya gotta admit they (Chicago) Cubs played some good baseball this past season. And the last half of the season they were THE best team in all of MLB. They were the only team with a .600 record and they finished the regular season above .600, the best in MLB!

Well here we go! On to game seven. Ain't this why we watch baseball after all? Yep!
