Rocky Mountaineer Luxury passenger train

So all of 2016 I never found the time to get a picture of the Rocky Mountaineer that runs every Saturday

in the summer from Seattle to Vancouver BC. Same schedule for 2017 and a perfect time to pass through

Everett WA and this time I was in position. First 3-pictures of the Rocky Mountaineer passing my old place

of employment the GN/BN/BNSF Depot on Bond St. which is now obscured by trees from the lowline looking

at the hi-line. How can trees grow where they are growing now is beyond me. Then since I know Everett so well

I made it to the Rogers Mainline in time for more pictures as the train approaches BR37 and onward to Vancouver BC.

Not sure I can do any better than this for this train.

Wondered who runs that train? Must be Amtrak from SeaWa to Vancouver. Then it's gotta be VIA Rail who takes it into Alberta and the Rockies eh?

AMTK engineer and conductor from Seattle to Vancouver BC running the train.
Think the AMTK conductor must coordinate with Rocky Mountaineer conductor
somehow as the AMTK conductor is not going to be going through the train
punching tickets or "scanning tickets". All aboard this train have paid big money
for this excursion and all have passports and have been checked for criminal
backgrounds. Since the RM has no scheduled stops between Seattle and Vancouver BC
wouldn't think there would much for the AMTK conductor to do actually except hit
the snack trays as often as possible. Then of course there could be that one Saturday
when your train hits and kills an 18yr old girl on a railway bridge. Then I think the AMTK
conductor would have a lot to do.

They have their own. All the crew people are retirees from various places including VIA.

It's obviously like a hotel or cruise ship on wheels. I think they are a non union outfit.

Former managers with operating rule cards are welcome, tu. I heard when they tie up

overnight some places, the crew has quarters and sleeps on board.
