Saturday I turned on my rr scanner to hear the "SPOEVE" calling the Delta Yardmaster for
a route in and it was Controlled Siding Lowell and the "Connector" to the Sealine and give
a call. I knew I had plenty of time to get to Sealine Jct as every train making its way into
Everett "crawls" like fat ground snake. The "SPOEVE and EVESPO" (Everett to Spokane)
is the only manifest train that crosses Stevens Pass on a daily basis. They are always
interesting as they need DPU's and lots of times they place them mid-train. So I dint have
a picture of a train coming in on the Connector Track at Sealine Jct until now. The Sealine Jct
area involves a grade rise and some sharp corners and basically a reverse-S. In the background
you can see this train and an empty oil train on the "Lowell Running" track. The joys of a telephoto
lens. The SPOEVE eventually landed in Delta Yard/Marsh tracks and you can see the whole train
and the mid-train DPU's. I made it Lowell to see a empty oil train ready to go east. Then as luck
would have it...a westbound Q-train is stopped short of the Brickyard Crossing waiting for a
track inspector to clear. Normally this train would be doing 35-50mph at this crossing. I've always
loved when a telephoto lens can make a train a mile long look "squat". There is more from this day
to share later.

Interesting pix Krink! Still enjoy viewing Everett Yard photos... A few of Interbay's finest grunts migrated to jobs there! None returned! One retired healthy with 36 years active, one went off disabled, and two fired for bad pee-pee randoms. Durgs, but pardon the digression.

Seems as though Everett has become an originating/terminating point for 2LARRCO in the 21st Century! Perhaps good for hiring...

Saturday Dec 23th and a brilliant clear blue sunny sky day and I needed to do something
with it. Was getting low on black sunflower seeds and wondered what the farmers-coop
in Everett had for a selection. Which means I can work a quick trip around the "horn" of
Everett which means Delta and Bayside Yards. All the action was on the Delta Yard side
in the 20 minutes I was in town. Viewed what was sitting at Bayside and a loaded coal train
and a PASVBC shutdown awaiting new crews. Back to Delta Yard and there was a loaded
coal train led by CREX 1205 with new crew aboard ready to go north but has to wait for
an empty coal coming south...BNSF 5701 via Rogers Mainline and this train will go all the
way to Lowell for a new crew to take it east. Then I guess you could call it a Xmas Gift
catching SW1500 numbered GN 3444 in some really great light. Still trying to figure out
what engine it was before/history. What is for sure is GN 3444 is a "remote control"
switcher now. I always feel better after taking some train pictures.
