The accepted (For the 21st century at least) Dow-Jones Industrial Average, an index widely followed by investors, business leaders, CEOs of other corporate entities, governments, raw materials producers, etc.
But is "The Dow" relevant as industries. Ya gotta track its history from the 19th through the 20th centuries, when it WAS an average of US industries. Now it sure ain't!
