Among a few others downtown in the midst of funky little shops, and small businesses is Conversion Brewing

They've been around a couple years, and have gained more fans as word gets around.

I don't expect any other bj.com members to meet there, but IF ya ever visit us in Oregon, it's my treat!

Adding to my local eateries list:http://www.deliciasvalleycafe.com/ in Corvallis, which I've had many a breakfast in this joint!

Every time I've been, the meals have been very good. (Gotta take mntman & spouse there) It's a small cafe, but you may eat more than a 'snack' there. Their menu is full of surprises, and everything in delicious, hence the name!

I'd be willing to take any member of bj.com for a meal at Delicias Valley Cafe! C'mon out!

Yes they do! Some funky little chachkis from south of the border. Funky handmade item like chickens, and carvings from local states of Mexico. Really well done stuff. Well made, and the food ain't bad either!

Barbecue. Who doesn't love barbecue/barbeque? No matter how ya spell it, BBQ is something ta brag about. And we have this joint in Stayton, which is on the way back to Lebanon from the VA's  clinic in Salem. Sometimes the return drive home from the clinic south on I-5 is not an enjoyable trip. Then I head back through farms, and small towns to get off the interstate.

Stayton is a little town with a few enjoyable shops, markets, and eateries. One is Squatchy's BBQ;https://www.statesmanjournal.com/story/life/food/2018/09/17/donors-strangers-help-salem-army-vet-rebuild-after-food-truck-burns/1258122002/

I had a pulled pork sandwich last week after my physical at the clinic 'cause I was hungry! Really, really good eats. Best brisket, ribs, pig, and other Texas style barbecue I've found outside Houston!

Nope, I've never heard anything about Houston that made me want to go. Sorry, Briz. In fact, the entire Big State holds no attraction for me. Nothing, nada, zip.

This AM, on CBS Morning News, they said that a lower percentage of Big State millennials vote than any other state. They need to get out and vote that POS in the Senate out.
