Weed. Legalized or not, lotsa people gonna smoke anyway.

Some habits die hard. And if they figure out how ta tax the shit, who knows?

Legal marijuana could bring in more money than crude oil, or lumber!

And yet the big question is:

How much weed do we need?

With damn near unanimous support across all eleven provinces*, and three territories, and inependent indigenous peoples pot is now the law of the land. Canada says yes to legal marijuana. With a few caveats of course

*Uke stands corrected.

There are 10 Canadian provinces, with three territories to the north.  The provinces are, in alphabetical order: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. The three territories are Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.

With the stroke of midnight, or one minute after the entire nation lit up, and got stoned at once!

This had nothing to do with weed, it had everything to do with getting votes or getting elected and a small percentage of the tax revenue. The weed laws for personal use were lax anyways.

The entire west coast legalized both recreational, and medical... California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and now ALL Canada! Colorado led the way for the rest though, so we owe 'em a hearty hoorah of thanx fo their efforts!

Now with Canada being the second country to legalize, besides the South American nation of Uruguay, can more be included?
Who can say. But in Netherlands is likely next as a sovereign nation to do so...

Cannabis is legal in Uruguay, and is one of the most widely used drugs in the nation. President Jose Mujica signed legislation to legalize recreational cannabis in December 2013, making Uruguay the first country in the modern era to legalize cannabis.
