Not many details can be gleaned from this 'report' of a rail worker becoming 'wedged' on the tracks, and hit by an approaching train. Sad situation nonetheless. One more horrible way ta die.

According to Norfolk Southern: The individual was standing on a freight car that contained steel plates.

A train was not approaching or involved in the incident.

When first posted the story was that he had become 'wedged' between rails and/or steel plates, then was hit by a train.
