I think a great use of BNSF dollars would be to get Stampede Tunnel heightened to run double stacks through it.
Seems with todays technology/tunnel boring that it can be done much faster today. The coastline mainline between
Seattle and Everett is at the mercy of future tsunami's and permanent damage. If not tsunami's...mudslides.
Mudslides all the time. Just waiting for "Oso sized" one to come down along the tracks...one that takes a lot of time
