The owner/operator of many short lines and regional roads, including an outfit in Australia, sells off its holdings. Portland & Western interchange partner of A&E (My shorty), UP, BNSF, leaves a few locals to wonder if they'll have jobs after the deal is finalized.

Lotta money changing hands. I'd bet Brookfield will sell off lots of marginal shorties once that big check is cashed!
