https://www.kwch.com/content/news/Strong-winds-topple-trains-in-Walton-551629761.html

Dozens of train cars are off the tracks in Walton after strong gusts overnight.

Emergency crews estimate around 140 cars from two trains were blown over just before midnight.

No one was hurt.

We have not heard any word from BNSF on when the cars will be righted.

Emergency dispatchers tell us the cars were all empty and there are no concerns about hazardous materials.

Is that on the Santa Fe transcon? North of Wichita.

Obviously a failure to properly secure.

Crew error. Failure to anticipate an act of Gawd (Her/Hiz/ Its ownselph), and taking precautionary measures prior to leaving train.

Heads will roll!

It may be the same winds that blew over 80 semi-trucks with trailers on the interstate that shut-down the interstate
for many hours.

I guess you'd have to stretch the train tighter than Dick's hatband, and then apply many brakes.............or maybe that wouldn't work.....
