The day after the disqualification of an Alaska high school swimmer over her bathing suit made national news, her victory has been restored. The 17-year-old state champion swimmer from Dimond High School in Anchorage was disqualified for a uniform violation Friday when a race judge ruled her school-issued swimsuit did not meet modesty requirements by not covering her buttocks, The Associated Press reported.

But on Tuesday, the states governing body for high school sports overturned the ruling about the swimmer, Breckynn Willis.The disqualification was made in error, and all team and individual points shall be restored, the Alaska School Activities Association said in a statement.

According to reports, Alaska follows national high school standards for swimmer apparel, and Willis was wearing the same school-issued uniform as the other swimmers on her team, according to NBC News.The Anchorage School District released a statement saying the teen was targeted based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body." The districts statement went on to call her disqualification heavy-handed and unnecessary and said it was discriminatory based on her body shape, according to reports. Willis is a hard-working, committed high school athlete, trainer Dewayne Ingram told NBC. For the last three years, she and her younger sister have been in his weight room just working their hearts out to get stronger.

Theyre just an inspiration that should be celebrated and applauded. Not rebuked, Ingram added.Lauren Langford, who coaches at Anchorages nearby West High School, told the Washington Post she believes racism and sexism were factors in the decision.

All of these girls are all wearing suits that are cut the same way, Langford told the Washington Post. And the only girl who gets disqualified is a mixed-race girl with rounder, curvier features.Langford was angered at the treatment of the student athlete for what unintentionally happened as she got out of the pool. We have a term for it its called a suit wedgie, she told the Post. And wedgies happen. Its uncomfortable. No ones going to walk around that way intentionally.Reports indicate Willis is one of the states top female swimmers, winner of state titles in the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly last year. And with Tuesdays decision and the national attention her competition-crushing victory in the 100-yard freestyle has been restored.

If it's about bathing suits, pictures are required. Period. Full stop.

The cheeky suits were not as popular at VagBeach this year, at least to this qualified tattoo inspector. BTW, the Tramp Stamps are another year older and even more out-of-style. They're fadey and saggy and the fleet doesn't seem tu be replacing them on younger models.

Heh, I had a #MAGAt in a MAGAt hat apologize profusely to me (a/k/a SIR!) for stepping in front of me in the bike lane tuday. Another one that seems tu think "Snippy" is a cop. It's getting hilarious. I can't figure it out, unless it's because it's a fast moving black mountain bike with a pack on a rack on the back.

 AAAAHHHHHH, There in lies the rub. We're dealing with 17 year old children.

Pictures would be considered as Child Pornography. So how do you approach

the subject of suit design? Do the girls bend over a bleacher while their nether

regions are inspected? By Whomb? (yes its a pun).

Like the Olympic gymnasts is a designated "Adjustment" required before each

meet? And why did they wait until after the meet, to say the uniform was non compliant?

Just how many pervs went to see the matches?  

The whole dam process warrants some common sense, and some common decency.

Why, of course "Officer Snippy" meant that we need tu wait until the young swimmer is old enough tu legally drive in any state that may raise the age to drive to 18 in the future. Helgaa the inspecta will continue tu inspect in a completely private setting. Who knows what floats her boat?
