Russian locomotives on parade

Apparently locomotive parades happen in Russia every year and I just happen find a video of it. I mean this is quite a show with their running steam

and every diesel and electric locomotives plus the "shunters"...a sample of the whole roster paraded one by one past camera. I was thinking they

must have needed about 50 engineers at once to do this. Then parade everything else that is on rails from MOW equipment to hi-rail vehicles etc.

Enjoy the parade.

Just think the revenue lost or threatened by this display, 2 main lines shutdown and tied up all day.

All those claims for re-entering the terminal limits, plus a new ticket for each train.

Throwing a connecting rod would have been catastrophic and thats not even thinking what would

happen to the rail with the pounding of the rail at each revolution.

All that was missing was Cheetoe standing at a reviewing stand and the wild whistle show with each pass.

China loves locomotive parades too. Only they got plenty of steam engines not that far removed from regular service.
This starts out kinda slow but by the end you will most impressed.

I found this on the Indian Railways..."25 Light engine movements" which all put together is like a parade.
Kind of like time trials at racetrack where you get a good chance to see each car and how it sounds and
how fast it is. Most of the Indian Railways diesel fleet is old ALCO's and SD70's with different body.
Interesting to see if the ads still happen after posting. There is a part 1 if you want more.
