Chad Thiessen, 39, of rural Murray, stole a bulldozer from a construction site in Murray, then "fortified" the driver's area to make it more difficult for others to get to him. Sheriff WM Brueggemann stated Cass County dispatchers received a call at 5:32 a.m. from Thiessen. "He had obtained a bulldozer and was en route to Omaha to protest and deliver a message to the world about all the corruption and false information the media and government are communicating. Thiessen warned all to stay out of his way," Brueggemann said. Cass County Sheriff's Office released details online of what they called a "bulldozer pursuit," saying that dispatch received a report at 6:55 a.m. that a "bulldozer" was driving along the grassy shoulder of southbound Highway 75, then drove across the highway, into the field and headed north toward the airport.
"Thiessen damaged the runway, farm fields and twice became entangled on the Union Pacific Rail Road tracks," Brueggemann stated.
