Just talking the railroad situation the CP/CN face going forward. The Fraser River Canyon hit hard. Landslides and several bridges destroyed will take

a long time to fix. Guessing weeks to months before CP/CN can open a single line between them to VAncouver BC. This a big blow to the Canadian Transcon.

Think the BCOL from Prince George to Vancouver has heavy damage in spots too. Maybe see some CN/CP detour trains on the BNSF soon. YouTube with

many videos of the 2021 BC Floods if you want to see all the damage.

YouTube is loaded with BC Flood 2021 videos and the damage. Still an ongoing situation very close to me.
Most forget we (WA State) was hit by an "Atmospheric River" the day before that sent most rivers into
record flood stage. That rain that went into BC was forecasted to hit Western WA again but it moved a few ticks
north to Beautiful British Columbia. 2 days of heavy rain caused unbelievable damage. Vancouver BC cutoff from
rail traffic and every major highway to Vancouver. Supplies running thin. The Port of Vancouver closed. CN is
diverting traffic to Prince Rupert which doesnt have the capacity but can handle containers and unload grain/bulk
commodities. CP is working with UP on a detour from Portland to Eastport ID. But first the BNSF needs to be included
Vancouver BC to Seattle. Havent heard trains with CP engines call the dispatcher yet. I think an "editorial" is needed
about the BC Flood 2021 situation.

I say thank Gawd if she exists that it's only "partially" derailed.

The CP tracks east of Lytton big bridge washout. The CN tracks with bridge out at Hope. At Cisco BC the CN and CP
swap sides of the river and connection tracks. Early best hope a single track mainline between CN/CP through the
Fraser River Canyon.

CP will have their line open mid week, wait for the fireworks to start as CP and CN were running directional traffic on each others lines. CP will prioritize their traffic with the goal of stealing CN's can traffic from the Port of Vancouver.

We shall see Steam how soon the CP route becomes useable. Watched a VR Grab Bag of WB CP train through Revelstoke with
about 50 new designed MOW "Huts/Airstream trailers" on flatcars. This would indicate to me that a lot of work to do for a while.

Railway Age talks about issues CP/CN face getting traffic through the Fraser River Canyon again.

The Fraser River Canyon has had many slides/washouts over time. Found this video from 1960 and a CN washout
near Boston Bar.

Optimistic reports are suggesting the RR supply chain may resume very soon, but nobody knows at what capacity after emergency repair work on that huge scale. And forecasts are for a "parade of storms" on the way, including atmospheric river type precipitation. Just what we need. Not.
