2 UP crew members died in this accident. Near as I can put things into order a UP train heads into a siding with railcars/MOW occupying the siding
and crashes into it. To crash hard with sitting equipment this UP train had to be doing 30mph. This is on the UP "Sunset Route" with CTC and signaled
Control points. No way a dispatcher doesnt have a "BK' on his control board to indicate siding is occupied. Hence the talking by "Signal displaying Stop"
with route. Hard to believe a dispatcher could/would create a meet or route against siding with cars on it. So the crew looks to be "really in the bad"
for ignoring red signal into the siding. Why was it line for the siding anyway as no possible meet could happen. This is your introductory MIR derailment
